Diakon Lutheran Social Ministries is Hiring a Medication Technician Near Allentown, PA

Luther Crest, A Diakon Lutheran Senior Living Community # Located in Allentown with easy access to Route# 78, Route# 22 and Route 476. Luther Crest is a large Continuing Care Retirement Community with a skilled nursing and rehabilitation center, along with a personal care community. Luther Crest is seeking skilled and caring individuals to be part of Diakon#s Many Hands#One Heart#team.#Employees are able to use Luther Crest#s state-of-the-art Wellness Center including a fitness center, spa, and indoor heated Olympic-size pool.# General Responsibilities: Responsible for assisting residents with their daily personal needs such as, bathing, grooming, and dressing, etc. # Administers medication within Diakon policies and regulatory requirements. Delivers excellent customer service to the residents and their family members. Documents vital signs including blood pressure, temperature respiration and weight checks and other pertinent information in the resident#s electronic health record. Education/Training: A high school diploma, GED, or active registry status on the state nurse aide registry required. Successful completion of Pennsylvania Personal Care DPW Medication Administration Course/ Maryland Assisted Living Medication Administration course. # Experience: A minimum of one (1) year of experience in related positions preferred. # ADA: Ability to sit, stand, lift, bend, reach, push, and pull items weighing up to 50 lbs.; visual and auditory skills.
